A Sweet Blend – The Perfect Combination of a Bridal and Baby Shower with a Citrus Twist
At Cline & Co Events, we love taking on unique challenges that turn everyday celebrations into extraordinary experiences. Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting a combined bridal and baby shower for a group of close-knit ladies who share more than just life’s milestones – they also power through early morning workouts together at 5:15 am! The theme we landed on was a delightful blend of “Little Cutie and Main Squeeze,” celebrating both the bride-to-be and the mom-to-be with a citrus-inspired, whimsical affair.
The Theme: Citrus and Whimsy
With limited space, we knew we had to make every detail count. We embraced the bright and cheerful energy of citrus fruits – from oranges and lemons to vibrant greens – and added a touch of whimsy to keep things light and fun. The vibrant oranges took center stage, serving as the main decorative focus. This theme not only brought in fresh, happy colors but also tied the two occasions together seamlessly. After all, what better way to symbolize the zest and joy of both a wedding and a new baby?
Setting the Stage: Small Space, Big Impact
Didi’s Downtown offered the perfect cozy venue, allowing us to focus on intimate details that made a big impact. We worked with Patti Ann’s Flowers to create stunning arrangements filled with greenery, lemons, and bursts of orange blooms that brought the space to life. Despite the size constraints, the setting felt full of energy and warmth, just like our amazing 5:15 am workout group!
The Cake: A Citrus Lover’s Dream
A custom cake with lemon filling was the highlight of the dessert table, perfectly in sync with the citrus theme. The cake, adorned with playful orange accents, was not only beautiful to look at but also added an extra layer of sweetness to the day. It was the perfect blend of elegance and fun – just like our bride and mom-to-be!

The theme of “Little Cutie and Main Squeeze” encapsulated the spirit of the day, combining the sweetness of welcoming a new baby with the excitement of celebrating a wedding. From citrus accents in the decor to the joyful vibe that filled the room, the event was a true reflection of the special bond these ladies share – both in life and at our CG workouts!
